Marislena is a dedicated healthcare and research professional with experience spanning data analytics, clinical project management, and community-based research initiatives. With a background in Public Health and years of hands-on experience in both academic and industry settings, she brings a strategic, people-centered approach to advancing clinical research—particularly in underserved populations.

 

Before consulting with Nkore BioTherapeutics, Marislena worked as a Project Coordinator and Research Data Analyst at Boston Medical Center, where she led physical activity interventions targeting low-income communities. In this role, she oversaw day-to-day research operations, including data collection, NIH reporting, IRB processes, and the development of participant recruitment and staff training protocols. Her work played a key role in driving inclusive community engagement and advancing public health research initiatives.

 

Marislena also served as a Drug Discovery Data Analyst at Decibel Therapeutics, where she collaborated on gene therapy initiatives related to hearing and balance disorders. Her contributions included pharmacodynamics and biomarker analysis, and cross-functional support for early-stage clinical programs.

 

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Worcester State University. As a bilingual professional fluent in Spanish and English, Marislena is passionate about using data and research to drive equitable health outcomes and bring innovation to patient care.
